Your Golf body - The Most Neglected Equipment In Your Cart

New Years resolutions come and go but a desire to be a better golfer is always with us. Perhaps one of the last things we think about as a problem for our golf swing is the extra belly fat that we may be carrying. While we may not be excited about exercises to lose belly fat, if we incorporate that into an golf specific exercise program, we have found a way to do what we love with what we may not be so committed to.

Golf fitness programs are a must-have in the training of any player, whether professional or amateur. Yet, often your golf body is the most neglected piece of equipment that you will ever own. Have you ever considered why it is so hard to maintain consistency through 18 holes of golf?

A weak core (weak abdominal and pelvic muscles) makes us more dependent upon on our arms and shoulders. This leads to fatigue and injury all because of too much belly fat.

How can you tell when you need to join a golf fitness program? Well that shouldn't be too difficult, preferably it should be before we add on belly fat, particularly when it seems that your clubs are heavier than usual or your long shots get shorter...

Don't blame age; that is not an issue here! And don't take regular fitness for golf fitness programs, as they are totally different from one another. Golf fitness programs help you train those muscles and joints that you use more in your game...

Without exercising specific parts of your body by golf fitness programs, the game will be poor, no matter how generally fit you may feel. You simply have to maintain the swing mechanics by a whole series of stretching exercises that are an included part of any golf fitness program...

By golf fitness programs you actually create muscle and joint resistance, thus keeping them strong. With increased muscle, we burn more calories and start getting rid of that belly fat. Without a proper golf fitness program, you will lose both flexibility and strength in time and experience pains and aches instead of body stamina. Therefore, you need  to make some time and include a golf fitness program in your busy week...

Age plays a role in the muscle fiber types that you have, so you have to keep yourself in perfect shape to keep off the belly fat and actually be able to create complete back swings and powerful drives...

Golf fitness programs really keep you in the best physical shape necessary to take the perfect shot. When is it time to turn to a golf fitness program? Any time is my answer. You don't have to wait until golf is no longer that fun or your belly lops over your belt line. You may prevent the problem by starting with a little stretching and ending with a complete golf fitness program...

If the game is already in decline...(and your waistline isn't) waste no time!...

A golf fitness program should not take too much time, not at all, and it can very well go hand in hand with the regular physical activity you take daily. Thus, you can go for a ten-minute brisk walk and finish it with great stretching exercises meant to keep you in shape for distance shots. Belly fat doesn't stand a chance when you commit yourselves to getting better at something that you love...

Great thoughts! The importance of golf fitness can not be overexaggerated. Golf-specific fitness programs are a necessity for players interested in moving past their perverbial "wall". It also cannot be said enough that the golfer's body is the most important piece of equipment available. Another idea for players looking to move to the next level is chiropractic care. Joint restrictions can cause mechanical dysfunction resulting in less-than-optimal performance, even with proper fitness programs. There is a reason that the top PGA players utilize chiro care to help separate them from the opposition. www.tomlafountain.com Great article!
